The One Book, One Community initiative ran in the schools in our parish again this year. The boys in 4th class read Skyhawk by Gill Lewis and told us that they enjoyed it. Some of the lads and their parents  took part in art workshops based on the book. They produced fantastic models of ospreys and their nests. These pieces were put on display in Blackpool Library before and all during the Easter holidays. To celebrate, we held a concert in the library to show off all the work that was put in by everyone involved. We, also, held a table quiz based on the book where teams of pupils and parents from all of our local schools took part.
