Our new Lord Mayor, Dr John Sheehan visited our school on October 15th, 2019. He was accompanied by his wife, Aedamar Ní Shiochrú, who is known to many of our boy from their days in St Vincent’s Primary School. The visit was a great success and the boys engaged extremely well with Dr John and Aedamar.  Next year we will celebrate 100 years of Cork having a Lord Mayor and Dr John presented us with a framed picture of two famous past pupils of our school and past Lords Mayor, also,Thomás MacCurtain and Terence MacSuibhne. Chinedu and Sean D form 6th class read a presentation about both Thomás aand Terence as part of the visit. Well done to Daniel from 2nd class who presented the Lady Mayoress, Aedamar with flowers to welcome her to the North Mon. The boys, also, gave a rousing rendition of our school anthem, Amhrán na Mainistreach. Mon Abú!!!
