On Friday, October 5th the current Lord Mayor, Mick Finn visited our school. We gave him a huge welcome in true Mon fashion. Our second classes gave him a guard of honour on the way into school and the Sciath na Scol team welcomed him into the hall. the Grúpa Ceoil played Terry Tehan’s and Ratlin Bog and were excellent, as usual. The boys interacted very well with  the Lord Mayor and were delighted with the question and answer session at the end. Of course, the highlight of his visit is the homework off he gives and this year especially, he is allowing a half day to be taken on Thursday, October 25th. As a thank you, the boys gave a resounding rendition of Amhrán na Mainstreach. Go raibh agat, a Ard Mhéara.
